Participants pick up supplies curbside, watch via Facebook Live
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – April 29, 2020 – Based on the popularity of Angelina’s Ristorante’s most recent, first ever virtual wine tasting, the restaurant will continue wine and food tasting online with a series of virtual tasting events in May. Participants can order the tasting packages in advance, pick it up curbside, and then enjoy it at home.
Each tasting will take place via Facebook Live on the restaurant’s Facebook page so guests can savor fine Italian wine selections and food in the safety and comfort of their home. Viewing is also available online via Angelina’s YouTube channel following the live broadcast and guests are encouraged to invite friends and family to join virtually as well.
Details about each event are as follows:
- Virtual Wine Tasting – Friday, May 1 at 5:30 p.m.: Hosted by in-house Wine Director and Sommelier, Dinah Leach, the virtual wine tasting will feature three wines paired with Executive Chef Ryan Fredstrom’s chilled shrimp Louis pasta salad. The cost is $85 (plus tax and gratuity) per package. Orders can be placed starting Thursday, April 30 and picked up the same day or on Friday, May 1 from noon to 4 p.m.
- Blind Tasting Tuesday – Tuesday, May 5 at 5:30 p.m.: Angelina’s will host its first ever blind wine tasting. Guests will be led through the blind tasting process by Dinah Leach. The tasting package is $70 and includes three wines plus course materials. Orders can be placed and picked up starting Thursday, April 30. Blind Tasting Tuesday is slated to continue on each Tuesday for the rest of the month. The arrangement and pricing will remain the same for all of them.
- Virtual Wine Tasting with Marcello Palazzi of Winebow – Friday, May 8 at 5:30 p.m.: Marcello Palazzi of The Winebow Group will join Dinah Leach for a virtual wine tasting featuring three wines from Winebow’s portfolio paired with burrata with eggplant caponata.The cost is $85 per package (plus tax and gratuity). Orders must be reserved and can be picked up on Thursday, May 7 or Friday, May 8 from noon to 4 p.m.
- Virtual Wine Tasting with Kiril Tsarev of Republic National Distributing Company – Friday, May 22 at 5:30 p.m.: Kiril Tsarev of Republic National Distributing Company will join Dinah Leach for a virtual wine tasting featuring three wines paired with pork rillette with Dijon mustard and toast points. The cost is $85 per package (plus tax and gratuity). Orders must be reserved and can be picked up on Thursday, May 21 or Friday, May 22 from noon to 4 p.m.
