Vintner to Participate from Sicily!
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – May 22, 2020 – Angelina’s Ristorante will continue food and wine tasting online with another virtual wine dinner on Friday, May 29 at 6:30 p.m. Participants can order the tasting package in advance, pick it up curbside, and then enjoy it at home.
The wine dinner will take place via Facebook Live on the restaurant’s Facebook page so guests can savor fine Italian wine selections and food in the safety and comfort of their home. Following the broadcast, viewing is also available online via Angelina’s YouTube channel and guests are encouraged to invite friends and family to join virtually as well.
Hosted by in-house Wine Director and Sommelier, Dinah Leach, the wine dinner will feature three fine Italian wines from Tasca d’Almerita paired with a savory three course meal prepared by Executive Chef Ryan Fredstrom. Corrado Merrigio of Tasca d’Almerita will also join the tasting live from Sicily.
The first course will feature a 2018 Tasca d’Almerita, Tenuta Regaleali, Catarrato “Antisa,” Sicilia DOC served with mango, blue crab, toasted almonds, carrots, and cucumber wrapped in Napa cabbage. Savory flavors will delight in the second course boasting a 2016 Tasca d’Almerita, Tenuta Regaleali, Nero d’Avola “Lamùri,” Sicilia DOC paired with tomatoes, garlic, anchovy, capers, olives, and red pepper tossed with rustic Italian bread. To finish off the tasting, the third course will offer a 2014 Tasca d’Almerita, Tenuta Regaleali, Rosso del Conte, Sicilia Contea di Sclafani DOC with lamb meatballs, gnocchi, and a cherry marinara sauce.
The cost is $175 for two people (plus tax and gratuity). Orders must be reserved and can be picked up curbside on Thursday, May 28, or Friday, May 29 from noon to 4 p.m.To reserve your order, call (239) 390-3187. Delivery is also available upon request within a five-mile radius.
