JUPITER — Elective procedures have resumed at Jupiter Medical Center, news that will provide a boost for the not-for-profit facility that has furloughed workers amid the coronavirus health crisis. The hospital on Old Dixie Highway announced in mid-March that it was rescheduling such work as concerns mounted over the coronavirus pandemic. Soon after, Gov. Ron DeSantis issued an executive order, largely since lifted in a subsequent order that went into effect Monday, that put a stop to elective medical procedures deemed non-essential. “While we continue to reserve some hospital capacity to serve COVID-19 patients, closely monitor trends of the virus, and carefully steward our supplies of personal protective equipment and other resources, we are also focused on delivering care to our patients across all service lines,” President and CEO Amit Rastogi said in a statement Monday.
