Gateway Services District

Gateway Services Community Development District (GSCDD) Supervisors would like to inform Gateway residents about discussions and actions taken by the Board of Supervisors.

Lee County will be taking over the roads in Gateway as soon as a few legal and recommendation matters are completed.

There are plans for Lee County to build a new state of the art high school duplicating the Bonita Springs design and one of the sites being considered is the 55 acres at the corner of Griffin Drive and Rte. 82. Meetings to discuss this will be held and a decision will be made in May. Anticipated ground breaking date is 2018 with an opening for 2019.

There have been some changes in the organizational structure of Gateway employees and hiring will begin soon for two open positions.

The FDOT is scheduled to begin road construction at the corner of Lee Blvd. and Rte 82 on April 21.

Lake Bank Restoration project bids opened Feb. 10th and construction can begin in March as long as we have State Funding approval. The first five ponds to be restored are in Bristol Parc, Cypress Cay and three in Gateway Greens.

TECO has finished laying the Natural gas lines along Gateway Blvd. The Gateway Commons Pool will be heated by natural gas instead of propane gas soon.

Our meetings are held on the first and third Thursday of the Month. Visit www.gatewaydistrict.org for more information and events.
