Holiday Season – Lehigh Acres Is Upon Us! Community Celebrates

By Mike Welch
At this writing the end of the year is approaching and our community like so many others is preparing for the Holiday Season. Our winter residents are returning as we notice homes that have been shuttered for the summer are again coming back to life. Of course, the roads are becoming more congested. We continue to see Lee Government work away on the Homestead Road project. We observe the SR82 project moving along. Both projects and many others continue to add to the infrastructure of our area.
HOLIDAY EVENTS:
December 6 th – 5:00 p.m. Annual Holiday Tree Lighting with Santa Claus at the Lehigh Town Centre at the corner of Homestead Road N. and Alabama. A years long tradition that continues. Plan to bring the family!
December 6 th – 5:30 p.m. Holiday Open House – Greater Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce. Lehigh Town Centre. This first of a kind celebration features an open house with reception at the other end of the Town Centre for the Chamber’s members and interested guests. Call the Chamber at 239-369-3322 or see www.lehighacreschamber.org for more information. Information will be posted after Thanksgiving.
December 17 th – 5:30 p.m. Lehigh Acres Municipal District Annual Town Hall Reception. An annual event, government leaders of the region will join local leaders for an end of the year reception and get-together. Local citizens are invited, and invitations will be sent shortly.
