GETTING TO KNOW A FEW OF OUR LOCAL CANDIDATES
Our two local special districts have some great candidates running for office. In the District 1 Seat for the Board of Commissioners of the Lehigh Acres Fire and Rescue Control District are two well known community leaders, Melissa Barry and Cathy Kruse the incumbent. Both candidates offer to us their thoughts on why they are running for office on the governing board of the Fire District.
Sheriff Carmine Marceno reminds us that Lee Schools are once again open for the school year and that he and the Sheriff’s Office are there to ensure the safety of our area’s school children. The Sheriff’s program, ‘Safe Kids- Safe Schools initiative is outlined by the Sheriff and I hope that you read his letter to our community with interest.
CANDIDATES FOR LOCAL OFFICE
Lehigh Acres has two local special districts. The Lehigh Acres Fire and Rescue District and the Lehigh Acres Municipal Service Improvement District. I have asked two candidates from the Fire District to offer us introductions and why they are running for office. The third candidate is no stranger to the Lehigh Community as he offers himself for office for Seat 2 on the Lehigh Acres Municipal Services Improvement District.
Wishing a healthy and safe Fall Season!
