2016 Riverdale Kiwanis Medieval Faire to be Held Jan. 16, 17, 23 & 24
The Riverdale Kiwanis will hold their annual Medieval Faire the weekends of Jan. 16-17 and Jan. 23-24 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Lakes Regional Park in Fort Myers. The two-weekend event is expected to draw over 15,000 attendees.
The 2016 Riverdale Kiwanis Medieval Faire will feature jousting, live chess match, the wheel-of-death entertainer, live sword fighting, royal court, children’s games, jugglers, magicians, minstrels, period food and medieval themed merchants. Entertainment at the faire will be provided by professional touring medieval faire professionals. Tickets will be available the day of the faire. Adult tickets cost $15 and children’s tickets (four to eleven years) cost $5 to attend. Free onsite parking is available.
All profits from the Medieval Faire go to the Kiwanis of Riverdale Foundation Fund to support local programs including Thanksgiving baskets for the needy, Christmas dinners, Buckingham Exception School, Lehigh Elementary School, Sunshine Elementary, Riverdale Key Club, school grants and scholarships and various other East Zone school related projects.
