FORT MYERS, FL (April 30, 2020) – Jessica Walker, Marketing and Public Relations Manager/Consultant with Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Co., P.A. (MNMW), received the first-ever “Friends of Janet Philanthropy” award from the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Southwest Florida Chapter. This award honors the memory of Janet Wilson, a beloved philanthropic community volunteer and friend to many. Recipients of this award demonstrate generosity by giving of their time, talent and treasure to benefit the community and lead by example to inspire others to do the same.
“Jessica is always willing to help others when she can, volunteering with numerous organizations and giving countless hours. She is someone you can always count on,” said Gail Markham, CPA/ABV/CFF, CFE, CFP, Partner at MNMW. “She is passionate about anything she sets her mind to, and we are proud that she is part of the MNMW family.”
Walker volunteers with the Cape Coral Animal Shelter and on the allocations committees with the United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades and Okeechobee Counties. Additionally, she serves as the current chair of the Women In Business (WIB) committee for the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce; is a member of the social media committee for the Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM); and serves as the credentialing co-chair for FPRA to help professionals achieve their APR. Walker and her dog Stella form a pet therapy team, and they volunteer with the Children’s Advocacy Center and Valerie’s House, helping children and families through difficult times.
