Shangri-La Springs Awarded Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association’s Seal Of Commitment For Safety And Sanitation

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (July 27, 2020) – Shangri-La Springs was the first property in Lee County and one of the first 10 in the state to be awarded the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA) Seal of Commitment, which acknowledges enhanced sanitation standards designated by FRLA to ensure the safety of guests and employees. FRLA’s Seal of Commitment program began July 1.

In a post-COVID-19 atmosphere, FRLA’s goal when guests see an FRLA Seal of Commitment on the door is to feel confident that the business is sanitary and safe and that staff are well trained. The Seal of Commitment is for the entire property, including The Spa at Shangri-La Springs, the on-site restaurant, Harvest & Wisdom, and the organic garden.

To earn the Seal of Commitment, Shangri-La Springs managers have a current food manager certifications, all restaurant employees have a current Florida food handler certificates, and all employees have completed the FRLA COVID-19 Sanitation & Safety Course in addition to specific intensive safety and sanitation standards.

The historic property is undergoing interior renovations to open as a full-service boutique hotel that will feature 21 guest rooms in the Great House.
