SIP AND SHOP HELPS YOUNG CANCER PATIENTS

Public Invited to Tuesday, May 17 Event

Talbots at the Bell Tower Shops  in Fort Myers invites the public to attend a special shopping afternoon to benefit Barbara’s Friends – Golisano Children’s Hospital Cancer Fund – on Tues., May 17 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the store located at 13499 U.S. 41 S.E., Fort Myers.

Proceeds from the event will help young cancer patients treated at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.  Talbots will donate 10% of pre-tax sales to the charity/event.

In addition to supporting a wonderful cause, those taking part will also receive a 15% discount on regular-priced items only with the discount taken at the register.  Refreshments and appetizers will be served.

Barbara’s Friends provides equipment, staffing and additional services to support lifesaving cancer care provided to children from across Southwest Florida at Golisano Children’s Hospital.  Services provided through the fund are not typically reimbursed by public or private insurance.  The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program at the Children’s Hospital is the ONLY program of its kind here in Southwest Florida and has served over 3,500 patients since opening.  No child is denied treatment or turned away as a result of their family’s inability to pay for care.
