Total Wine & More launches “Points With A Purpose,” Benefiting Community Cooperative

TOTAL WINE & MORE LAUNCHES “POINTS with a PURPOSE” CUSTOMER APPRECIATION EVENT; COMMITS UP TO $2 MILLION IN DONATIONS TO LOCAL NON-PROFITS ACROSS THE COUNTRY

Community Cooperative in Fort Myers to be Total Wine & More’s local beneficiary

Fort Myers, FL – Total Wine & More today announced the launch of “Points with a Purpose,” a customer appreciation event that rewards customers for certain purchases while turning those purchases into monetary donations for local charitable organizations.   In greater Fort Myers, Total Wine & More has partnered with Community Cooperative.

The event, which runs through September 13th, allows Total Wine & More customers to collect five times (5x) loyalty points on thousands of wines and spirits.  At the end of the event, Total Wine & More will donate to Community Cooperative an amount equal to the value of all points that customers have accrued at Total Wine & More’s Lee County stores.  Total Wine & More branded stores in twenty states are participating in the Points with a Purpose event, and have committed to donate up to $2 Million across 25 states during the event.

“We are so grateful for the support of the community and our partners like Total Wine, who have recognized the increasing need for food,” said Tracey Galloway, CEO of Community Cooperative. “As the months go on and more businesses are forced to close or not re-hire furloughed employees, and unemployment, rent and eviction relief ends, we anticipate the demand for help will continue to rise. We are already seeing a surge in the number of people coming to our mobile food pantries and Community Café and Markets over previous pandemic months, so this support is so important to our mission.”

“The Points with a Purpose event is our way of saying thank you to our customers for their patronage and loyalty and, at the same time, investing in the communities we serve,” said Matt Indre, Senior Manager, Public Affairs & Community Relations at Total Wine & More. “In selecting Community Cooperative as our local charity we support an outstanding charitable organization and its very important work throughout Lee County.  By earning and using points, Total Wine and its loyalty members can help the organization help those in need.  That’s points with a purpose!”
