11th Annual Casino Royale To Be Held On May 18, 2024

By: Rob Spicker

The Animal Refuge Center is excited to announce the 111th Annual Casino Royale 007 fundraiser is set for May 18, 2024.  The James Bond themed event is once again from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in Estero.

“Casino Royale is your chance to play your favorite games of chance like blackjack, poker, roulette and craps to support the mission of the Animal Refuge Center,” said ARC Board Vice President Rob Spicker.  “The play money you win increases your chances of winning one of our great raffle prizes.  We’re also holding a live auction with jewelry, weekend hotel getaways and 10-night vacation packages to Antigua.  All the proceeds raised support the dogs and cats in our care.”

Tickets are $75 and include $2,000 in “cash” to gamble with.  Additional gambling “cash” can be purchased at the event. Of course, no ARC event would be complete without a few wonderful ARC residents in attendance to remind the crowd about the purpose of the night.

This year’s Casino Royale is presented by Paul and Rosalie Watson.  Sponsorships are still available.  007 sponsorships are $2,750, License-to-No Kill sponsorships are $1,250, Diamonds are Furever sponsorships are $600, and The Dog Who Loved Me sponsorship is $300.  Sponsorships come with event tickets and various levels of advertising.

The Animal Refuge Center is Southwest Florida’s largest no-kill shelter.  Our philosophy avows that once an animal is accepted for adoption, it will not be destroyed to make room for another.  Our mission is to shelter, adopt and educate.  All donations go directly to our efforts to care for and find homes for as many animals as we can.

ABOUT ARC

The Animal Refuge Center is a 501c3 Non-Profit animal welfare society. We are a non-euthanasia organization dedicated to caring for all owner surrendered cats and dogs we’ve received into our care.

As the largest no-kill shelter/sanctuary in SW Florida, we provide interim shelter and medical care to cats and dogs who were once pets, and through no fault of their own, found themselves homeless, injured, or abandoned.  Our philosophy avows that once an animal is accepted into our care, it will not be destroyed to make room for another.

We place approximately 500 dogs and cats per year into responsible, loving homes through direct and indirect adoptions.

ARC’s on-going mission is to provide community education as to the needs and care of animals, and public awareness regarding the importance of spaying and neutering their animal companions, with the ultimate result being the elimination of euthanasia.
