Huge Win For The Lehigh Community Services Food Pantry And Achieva Credit Union

By Katrina Salokar

The Board of Directors of Lehigh Community Services is pleased to announce an extremely generous donation of more than $18,000 to our organization from Achieva Credit Union.

Laurie Jerriey, of Achieva Credit Union, found out about a quality program by Achieva to make generous donations to different charitable organizations in our community. Laurie advocated for Lehigh Community Service to be one of the recipients, and successfully managed to direct $18,518.78 to our cause.

“I want to acknowledge the hard work and note what an accomplishment it is,” said Butch Swank, Lehigh Community Services Board of Directors. “There are so many positive things happening in Lehigh Acres right now. It’s important that we recognize Laurie and Achieva for their commitment to the eastern Lee County communities.” he continued.

“Lehigh Acres is lucky to have so many wonderful people and I am happy to make that check turn into a reality,” said Laurie Jerriey, Achieva Credit Union. “The volunteers and staff at Lehigh Community Services do so much good in the community and their services are needed now more than ever.”

This generous donation will help Lehigh Community Services continue its mission of feeding and assisting people in need in our community through services like the Food Pantry, financial assistance, vocational counseling, and homeless outreach programs.
