Love Lehigh Day Served Hundreds Of Families & Students

Lehigh Community Services celebrated Love Lehigh Day at the Christ United Methodist Church in Lehigh Acres on Saturday, July 31, serving hundreds of students and families in the community.

On top of the 136 children registered to receive backpacks of supplies, we had dozens more attend to enjoy the booths and giveaways brought to you by volunteers from national organizations including Goodwill and Boy Scouts, as well as local community members such as the Lehigh Fire Department, Sheriff’s Department, Rotary Club, and Caloosa Dental. Even the Praying Pelicans Mission Team of Granger, Indiana came to visit sunny Southwest Florida to bag supplies and provide uniforms.

Love Lehigh Day was a massive success and we are planning on hosting more community events in the future, including our Family Fun Nights every third Friday. This was a wonderful opportunity to bridge together the communities of Lehigh, and we are blessed to have been given the ability to help out and lift up the families of Lehigh Acres. We look forward to bringing more joy to our neighborhood in the future.
