The Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District invites the public to stop by Station 102 on Saturday, November 30, for a special fundraiser hosted by our Cadet Post 102. The cadets will be washing cars for donations and fundraising to defray travel costs to state competitions. Station 102 will also be open for tours during the car wash, so adults and children can have fun while their car is cleaned.
In Lehigh Acres, nothing is more important than fostering activities for our local youth. The Lehigh Acres Cadet Program is a youth-oriented program focusing on a vocational study of a professional firefighting career with Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District. The program’s mission is to enable Cadets to better understand a firefighting career through an experience that balances classroom and hands-on learning. Each Cadet will learn mental and physical wellness, self-responsibility, personal growth, leadership, discipline, teamwork, and fire prevention skills. The Cadet Program’s goal is to ensure that all eligible youth can participate, regardless of their financial ability to purchase the required clothing and gear. Community partners can help support the Cadet program by sponsoring the purchase of their equipment, traveling to competitions, and funding various team activities. Any amount can help make a difference in a potential cadet’s ability to participate in the program.
If you want to learn more about how you (or your business) can become involved with our Cadet program as a sponsor, please get in touch with us at CadetPost102@lehighfd.com. One of our advisors will be happy to meet with you or your organization to tell you more about how the program is making a difference in the lives of youth right here in Lehigh Acres. In addition to having a positive impact, your business or organization will receive public exposure through our District’s social media channels, which receive thousands of views daily.
