Free Breakfast and Lunch Available During the Summer

The School District of Lee County and Summer BreakSpot are teaming up to provide free breakfast and lunch meal kits to feed children 18 and under for an entire week over the summer. Nine locations will distribute the 7-day meal kits on Mondays only from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. between June 9th and July 28th.

Parents should bring a school ID, report card, or other documentation to provide proof of the number of children needing a 7-day meal kit. Children do not need to be present. Meals are available for any child 18 and younger. The nine locations distributing the meal kits on Mondays only are:

  • Fort Myers/Lehigh Acres

  • East Fort Myers/Buckingham
    • Buckingham Community Church

    • Buckingham Community Park

  • Alva
    • River Hall Elementary

The School District of Lee County is also partnering with Summer BreakSpot to provide daily opportunities for breakfast and lunch at no cost for children 18 and younger.  More than 100 sites are enrolled to serve healthy and nutritious meals from June 9th to July 30th.

Children 18 and under can go to any site during the designated serving times and receive a free meal. No documentation or ID is required. The child must be present, and the meals must be consumed on-site.

Days, times, and locations can change, so families should check the Summer Break Spot website for the most up-to-date information before proceeding to a site.
