The City of LaBelle is inviting residents, business owners and community stakeholders to participate in an upcoming public workshop focused on the city’s long-term growth and future development.
The “Plan Our Growth to 2050: Next Steps” Community Workshop will be held Thursday, July 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the LaBelle Civic Center, located at 481 W. Hickpochee Avenue in LaBelle.
During the workshop, attendees will have an opportunity to review the latest draft updates to the City of LaBelle’s Comprehensive Plan. The plan serves as a blueprint for guiding the city’s growth, development and public improvements through 2050.
City representatives will explain how feedback received from residents and other community stakeholders has helped shape the current draft. Participants will also be encouraged to share additional ideas and help identify priorities as the planning process moves forward.
A comprehensive plan can influence many aspects of a community’s future, including land use, housing, transportation, infrastructure, public services, economic development and the preservation of community character. Public participation gives residents and local businesses an opportunity to better understand proposed changes and offer input before future decisions are made.
The workshop is designed to continue the public conversation about how LaBelle should grow while addressing the needs of current and future generations. City leaders are encouraging anyone who lives, works, owns property or operates a business in LaBelle to attend and take part in the discussion.
Community input is especially important as LaBelle considers how future growth may affect neighborhoods, commercial areas, public facilities and the overall quality of life within the city.
The City of LaBelle emphasized that every resident’s voice matters and that community participation will help guide the city’s direction for decades to come.
