ASPCA Grants $25K to Lee County Animal Services for Disaster Response

Lee County Domestic Animal Services has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) to support disaster response and training.

“This grant will help Animal Services fund This grant would allow us to expand our disaster readiness by purchasing additional emergency rescue equipment, enhancing mobile response capabilities, and providing comprehensive training,” Director Pablo Adorno said. “It will strengthen our preparedness and directly improve animal outcomes and ensure safer, faster responses in future crises ─ ultimately saving more lives.”

In part this grant will cover the cost of:

  • FEMA disaster response training for field officers.
  • Animal rescue equipment.
  • PPE & training supplies
