Center For Sight Welcomes Fort Myers Eye Center And Valentine Eye Care To US Eye Network

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Dec. 17, 2020) – Two leading optometry practices in Southwest Florida, Fort Myers Eye Center and Valentine Eye Care, have partnered with Center For Sight, one of the nation’s leading multi-disciplinary physician groups.

Center For Sight is a founding member practice of US Eye, a physician-led, patient-centric network of practices committed to providing exceptional patient service through premium technology and unrivaled provider expertise.

Fort Myers Eye Center and Valentine Eye Care will assume the well-known local brand name, Center For Sight, bringing the total number of Center For Sight offices in Southwest Florida to fourteen.

“Both Fort Myers Eye Center and Valentine Eye Care have been serving patients in Southwest Florida for decades, establishing themselves as elite eyecare providers in the region long ago,” said David Shoemaker, M.D., founder and CEO of Center For Sight and US Eye. “Center For Sight operates practices in Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte and Collier counties. The addition of these two locations in Lee County helps bridge our northern and southern offices so we can continue providing exceptional care in the Fort Myers market. It is our goal to partner with only the best and brightest providers, and Dr. Middaugh and Dr. Valentine are clearly a cut above. The addition of both offices further establishes Center For Sight as Southwest Florida’s premier eyecare provider and I am thrilled to have them on our team.

Fort Myers Eye Center was founded in 1993 by Dr. Bradley Middaugh, a board-certified optometrist who has been in private practice since 1988. Dr. Middaugh graduated from the School of Optometry at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Fort Myers Eye Center’s services include full-scope family care, glaucoma management, cataract and retinal disease diagnosis, pediatric eyecare, laser and eyelid plastic surgery consultations, and low-vision rehabilitation services. He is passionate about supporting his local community and providing eyecare worldwide through his mission trips to El Salvador and other disadvantaged regions.

Valentine Eye Care, also located in Fort Myers, was founded in 1985 by Dr. Daniel Valentine, a graduate of The Ohio State University’s College of Optometry. Valentine Eye Care’s “patient first” mentality creates an exceptional patient experience while offering compassionate, professional eyecare services.

With the addition of Fort Myers Eye Center and Valentine Eye Care, US Eye now operates 27 clinics and three surgery centers across the Southeast United States, positioning the company as one of the largest comprehensive eyecare delivery systems in the nation. US Eye is a multi-specialty practice group that offers an extensive range of ophthalmic and medical services, including laser cataract surgery; advanced intraocular lenses; all-laser LASIK; glaucoma, retina and cornea care; cosmetic facial surgery; dermatology; audiology and skin care.

Over the next year, Fort Myers Eye Center and Valentine Eye Care will integrate their operations with the US Eye model to enrich patient care and expand service offerings, while maintaining the same close personal relationships both Dr. Middaugh and Dr. Valentine have built with their patients over the years. All existing patient appointments will proceed as scheduled and patients will continue to be seen by their established physician at their existing practice location.

Dr. Middaugh’s office is located at 1537 Brantley Road, Fort Myers, FL 33907. To make an appointment, please call 239-481-7799. Dr. Valentine’s office is located at 16970 San Carlos Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33908. To make an appointment, please call 239-466-2010.
