Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) is connecting students and recent graduates with enhanced career opportunities through Handshake, a leading online career platform that connects talented FSW students directly with employers seeking to hire early talent.
Employers can post job and internship opportunities specifically for FSW students free of charge, employers can search and filter student profiles based on major, skills, year of study, and other key criteria, and engage early with emerging professionals by participating in on-campus events and career fairs.
All FSW students receive a Handshake account upon acceptance to the college, providing immediate access to a personalized career hub designed to streamline the job search process. The platform uses intelligent matching technology to curate a customized feed of jobs, internships, and events based on each student’s unique interests and skills.
“Handshake serves as a powerful tool for our students, essentially doing the job searching for them,” said Carrie Bohling, senior internship coordinator at FSW. “Once students complete their profiles, employers actively seeking FSW talent can discover and message them directly about opportunities.”
