Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc. (KLCB) has received a Neighborhood Grant from The Starbucks Foundation, recognizing its work to support litter prevention, environmental education, and community beautification efforts in Lee County.

The grant was a result of a nomination(s) from a local Starbucks partner (employee) who has seen the organization’s impact firsthand. Through the Neighborhood Grants program, The Starbucks Foundation invites partner-led nominations and considers insights from Starbucks partners to award grants to nonprofits and charities making a meaningful difference in the communities they serve.

“We are incredibly grateful to The Starbucks Foundation and the local Starbucks partner who nominated Keep Lee County Beautiful for this generous grant,” said Trish Fancher, Executive Director of Keep Lee County Beautiful. “This support will help us continue empowering volunteers, educating residents, and leading programs that make a lasting impact on the environment and the quality of life throughout Lee County. Community partnerships like this demonstrate how local action can create meaningful change.”

Since 2019, The Starbucks Foundation has awarded more than 19,000 grants totaling over $30 million across North America. In Lee County, Neighborhood Grants are one way Starbucks demonstrates how local partnerships between Starbucks partners, customers and nonprofits are strengthening communities.

The Starbucks Foundation’s Neighborhood Grants program supports grassroots, community-led nonprofit organizations making a difference in their community. With Starbucks partners leading the way, Starbucks helps strengthen communities it serves. Neighborhood Grants also help deepen local impact and inspire ongoing partner engagement with nonprofit organizations and charities that work in their communities.

“Starbucks has always been the community coffeehouse – a place where connection and joy come to life, led by partners,” said Kelly Goodejohn, executive director of The Starbucks Foundation. “Through Neighborhood Grants, our partners inspire millions in funding to local organizations making a meaningful difference, from addressing hunger to supporting youth. We’re proud to support the causes our partners care deeply about. When we invest in our partners, they help strengthen their communities.”
