NOTICE FROM THE CITY OF LABELLE: BOIL WATER NOTICE

The City of LaBelle advises the public that due to a main waterline repair, the  water supply for these locations: 

Hampton Ave. & Rivera Vista Blvd. 

will be under a Boil Water Notice. The city utilities crews are working on water mains in  this area.  

This notice affects the users listed above; however, people with weakened or undeveloped  immune systems are most at risk. This includes elderly people, pregnant women and their  unborn, children under the age of 2, people with AIDS, cancer, diabetes, or kidney disease,  and people being treated with immuno-suppressing medications. 

As a precautionary measure, water users are advised to bring water to a rolling boil for at  least one minute before using it for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, food preparation,  etc. 

DURATION OF THIS NOTICE 

This “Precautionary Boil Water Notice” will remain in effect until bacteriological testing  shows that the water is safe to drink. We are unable to provide an exact time for the  rescission of this notice. However, we estimate the time to be no more than 72 hours.
