Lehigh Acres is preparing for its 2024 Fire Prevention & Community Safety Day, set to take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Veteran’s Park Academy of the Arts on Homestead Rd S. This highly anticipated event, which has grown in scale each year, aims to bring together local organizations and community members to promote safety awareness.
Held in the expansive bus loop and field at Veteran’s Park, the venue provides ample space for various displays and activities. Local organizations, businesses, and government agencies will have the opportunity to set up tents and tables, while larger entities such as the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Forestry Service, and other safety-focused groups are encouraged to bring apparatus for interactive demonstrations that are sure to engage kids and families.
Since the Save the Date announcement in February, organizers have been adding more participants to the growing list of attendees. Groups planning to join are asked to confirm their attendance as soon as possible. It is also requested that any organizations bringing large apparatus provide details to help with the setup. Displays and apparatus will be organized around the venue’s track, with tents and tables positioned in the center grass area.
