The Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District is inviting community members to take part in a free Family & Friends CPR Training session on Thursday, September 18, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Station 104.
This engaging, hands-on course is designed to help participants build the confidence and skills needed to respond effectively during sudden cardiac arrest. While the class does not provide certification, attendees will leave empowered with lifesaving knowledge that can make all the difference when every second counts.
“When someone experiences cardiac arrest, immediate action can double or even triple their chances of survival,” said Fire Chief Robert DiLallo. “This training ensures that more people in our community are prepared to step in and be the help until professional responders arrive.”
Why This Training Matters
Cardiac arrest can happen anywhere, at any time — at home, at work, or in public. Having the ability to perform CPR while waiting for emergency responders can save a loved one’s life. The Family & Friends CPR Training is an approachable, beginner-friendly class that teaches the basics of chest compressions and emergency response in a supportive environment.
