Lee County Domestic Animal Services invites the community to its annual Pet Fest 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the adoption center, 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers.
This family-friendly event will feature local vendors, offering everything from holiday gift items to pet products and services. Guests also can meet and support local rescue groups and learn more about pet adoption opportunities.
One of the highlights of the day will be the Pet Photo Sessions with Santa or the Grinch. For a $10 donation to the Animal Care Trust Fund, attendees will receive a digital photo and an animated Christmas card — a perfect keepsake for the holiday season. Photo sessions fill up quickly, so call 239-533-7387 to schedule. Proceeds from Pet Fest benefit the Animal Care Trust Fund, which helps provide medical care and enrichment for animals awaiting adoption.
Lee County Domestic Animal Services serves as the county’s only stray intake facility, providing care, shelter and second chances for thousands of animals each year. With community support, more pets can find their way to loving homes.
Adoptions take place at the shelter, 5600 Banner Drive. Adoption hours are 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Adoption applications can be submitted electronically at www.leegov.com/animalservices/adopt. They can also be printed and faxed or brought to the shelter. Or they can be completed in person.
