Along with the outrage and fear about the reckless and dangerous conditions on our area’s roadways comes the utter disregard of a number of aggressive motorists who ignore the rules of safety for our school children and buses. Along with the tragedies that occur daily because of our dangerous roads, it also comes deeply concerning situations of needless accidents involving buses. In response Sheriff Marceno writes to us in this month’s Voices on information and expectations when on the road when we encounter school buses.
Also, this month Major Brenda Lane writes to us about the Salvation Army’s array of services at the Lehigh Acres Service Center. This includes homeless and housing assistance.
