Dr. Thomas J. Klein will see patients at the Tamarac location.

TAMARAC, Fla. (Jan. 20, 2021) – Advocate Radiation Oncology has opened a new location in Tamarac to serve cancer patients in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties.

Located at 7850 N. University Drive, the Tamarac office features state-of-the-art cancer-fighting machines and the same level of compassionate care that define Advocate, a locally owned and operated radiation oncology practice.

“We are proud to combine top-of-the-line technology with an experienced team of world-class, board-certified radiation oncologists,” said Dr. Arie Dosoretz, the managing partner at Advocate Radiation Oncology. “Our Tamarac location will allow us to further our partnership with South Florida residents on their cancer journey. They deserve the extraordinary care that we will deliver.”

Dr. Thomas J. Klein will see patients at the Tamarac location to treat a wide variety of cancer diagnoses including breast, prostate, lung, and head and neck cancer. Klein graduated with honors from Duke University before earning a Ph.D. and M.D. in molecular genetics from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Following an internship at Georgetown University Medical Center, Klein completed radiation oncology training at the Yale School of Medicine, where he served as chief resident and became Yale’s first Leonard B. Holman Research Pathway resident. He later served as the oncology preceptor for the University of Miami’s Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program and has taught courses at the Yale University School of Medicine, Florida Atlantic University and Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Klein has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” by multiple publications and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Klein is a member of the American College of Radiation Oncology, American Society of Radiation Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Radium Society.

Advocate’s patient-first philosophy and personalized treatment plans aim to maximize effectiveness while minimizing side effects.
