Lee County Domestic Animal Services Pets Can Help Fill that Empty Nest

elcn-shelter

Lee County Domestic Animal Services can help families avoid that empty-nest feeling this September now that children have gone back to school. Through Sept. 30, adoption fees for all cats and kittens and dogs older than 6 months will be reduced to just $25. In addition, cats and kittens are two-for-one; adopt one and take home a second feline friend at no additional charge.

The adoption package includes spay or neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, a county license and a 10-day health check − a package valued at $600. Volunteers and staff are waiting to introduce your new family member. Stop by the adoption center, 5600 Banner Drive in Fort Myers, from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The adoption center will be closed on Labor Day, Sept. 2, but will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
