Joint speed enforcement awareness campaign takes place July 15-20

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), in collaboration with the Florida Highway Patrol and local law enforcement agencies announce, “Operation Southern Slow Down,” a joint effort with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the southeastern states of Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. State and local law enforcement agencies in all five states will be conducting a week-long speed enforcement awareness campaign from July 15-20 aimed at saving lives, preventing reckless driving, and speeding.
