Lee County Parks & Recreation will celebrate Veterans Park Recreation Center’s 20th Anniversary from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7. The event will be held at Veterans Park Recreation Center, 55 Homestead Road S., Lehigh Acres.
The 20th anniversary celebration will include live entertainment, including music and dance performances, class demonstrations, a bounce house for the kids, and cake and ice cream for everyone to enjoy.
Veterans Park amenities include tennis courts, covered basketball court, skate park, playground, splash pad, fields, dog park, pavilions and a lodge with a full kitchen available to rent for large picnics or functions.
While you are at the event, stop inside the recreation center and take a tour. Veterans Park Recreation Center memberships include use of the game room and gymnasium during open gym times. The center also features an after-school program, summer camp for children and teens, fitness center, dance classes, frequent competitive tournaments and fitness classes.
